A sweet apple with a fresh fruity flavor. This apple is easily identified by its pale, creamy yellow skin. Great for eating, drying, cooking, baking, sauces or salads.

Golden Delicious:

Available September 2010

Golden Delicious

Tender-skinned, all-purpose snacking and cooking apple. A sweet and firm apple with a distinctive flavor and aroma. Excellent for eating, pies and sauces. The skin is so tender and thin that many recipes do not require it being peeled. Must be kept refrigerated, as the pale yellow skin is quick to shrivel at room temperature.

Red Delicious:

Red Delicious

Classic heart-shaped, ruby-red apple with a sweet, mild taste. This apple has become the symbol of the American apple and is the most popular variety. Sweet and juicy when eaten fresh, but when cooked or baked, this variety ranks close to the bottom of the list.

Braeburn

A crisp, tart apple with a touch of sweetness and a noticeable aromatic after-taste. This makes a great all-American apple pie or apple sauce. Crisp in texture, this variety is recognized for its yellow-green to creamy yellow skin and stores well.

Fuji

Bursts with sweet, juicy flavor and a crunch in every bite. This is the best eating apple and our personal favorite. Good for salads, sauces and cider. This apple will retain its beauty for weeks if displayed in a fruit bowl without endangering its quality.

Granny Smith:

Granny Smith

Tart, but well balanced flavor. This bright green skinned apple has a mild flavor and makes a great apple sauce or apple juice and their flavor really comes through when baked. The paler colored apples tend to be the sweetest. Lasts months in cold storage.

Pink Lady

This new variety is a crisp apple with a a blend of tartness. The first bite tastes pleasantly tart followed by a sweetness and becomes sweeter with time. Good for eating and cooking.
